Koster Ad up on Television Around the State Tomorrow

Jefferson City, MO – Chris Koster’s campaign for Attorney General today announced the release of the first television ad of the Attorney General’s race. The thirty second ad, “Standing up for Everyone,” will begin airing Monday, July 7th, in Kansas City and St. Louis, and is the start of an unprecedented statewide television campaign for a down-ballot race that will continue through the August 5th primary.

The ad highlights how Chris Koster’s ten years of experience as Cass County Prosecuting Attorney make him uniquely qualified to be Missouri’s next Attorney General. The ad appeals to the strong desire of Missouri voters that their Attorney General not be a typical politician, but rather a prosecutor who is prepared to be the state’s next chief law enforcement officer.

Koster is the only candidate in the race, Democrat or Republican, with any prosecutorial experience. As Cass County Prosecuting Attorney, Koster amassed approximately 20 homicide convictions, two Supreme Court victories and thousands of felony convictions.

KOSTER: You notice it the first time you enter the courtroom as a prosecutor.

You see the judge, and the jury, and the defendant. But who you really notice is who isn’t there – the victim.

That’s when you understand. That’s when it really hits you. You’re there to speak for people who can’t speak for themselves.

When I stood up in front of a jury as Cass County Prosecutor, I was standing up for them. As Attorney General, I’ll be standing up for everyone.
